Peddle Thorp Far North has created a distinctive work environment for rapidly expanding Fuel Equipment Specialists, NQ Petro in their new head office located on the southern edge of Cairns.

From the outside, large scale and bold use of the company colours flags the building and makes it very recognisable. Internally, however, the story is different with a more restrained approach and feel to the arrangement of spaces

PTFN interior designer Sara Bending was provided with a brief to create a new working environment that brought together both the operational needs of the workshop with the retail and office areas allowing an interface between the workers, managers and the administration staff, which had previously not existed.

On the Ground Floor the public foyer, retail and waiting areas are arranged across a polished-concrete floor plate. An open staircase backed by an impressive mural takes you to the upper floor Offices, Meeting rooms, workstations, and breakout spaces
