FAST FACTS

THE DETAILS

The PCYC is a functional, cost-effective and robust facility in a prime location on the corner of Kingston and Compton roads in Slacks Creek. The brief asked for a prominent landmark building with an inviting street appeal. The design and functions of the PCYC are diverse with many distinct operational elements within the PCYC that needed to operate independently whilst also being able to be monitored and controlled from a central area.

The project team proposed a unique approach to amenities and change rooms via an NCC BCA performance solution. All facilities are unisex and able to be closed or opened-up and shared between the differing departments of the building. The project had many challenges including building over a former landfill site, DTMR land resumptions and construction during the peak of covid lockdowns.

Client feedback has been very positive since opening the new Logan PCYC.
