On the ‘medical edge’ of Cairn’s CBD, the designers Peddle Thorp have created a new home with a strong identity for the Queensland Breast Screen Clinic. The project expresses the Clients requirements of a ‘sensitive approach’, providing a non institutional and calming environment for both patients and staff.

A place of calm and respite, the reception and waiting area provide a visual focus positioned at the heart of the fit-out. The interior finishes were carefully considered by designers and client alike. Corporate colours have been abstracted and use throughout with great effect. These are further complimented by a palette of timber flooring and neutral walls and ceilings.
