BallyCara is a provider of residential aged-care, community care and retirement living facilities helping its residents lead fulfilling lives through the provision of individualised care, contemporary community and accommodation infrastructure.

Stage 1 of the expansion comprised the Amicus Apartments and was completed in 2012. The building contained a mixture of two and three bedroom apartments and was successfully sold out, raising the profile of BallyCara as a provider of alternative, modern high-rise living for their residents.

Peddle Thorp was then engaged to assist with a revised Masterplan of their site to improve orientation and views to all existing and future buildings. The Masterplan managed to provide 5 future stages in an arrangement that enabled all apartments to have unrestricted views. This provided the client with a more feasible product at every future stage. A new Development Application for the site was created and lodged with Council, with approval being granted in June 2016.

BallyCara Stage 2 is a 3 level development of 36 Retirement Living Apartments, consisting of one, two, and three bedroom units. The building fits in with a broader masterplan for the BallyCara Retirement Living precinct located at Redcliffe.
